Tonight at 7pm John Vidale, director of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network and WA state seismologist at the UW, talks about Puget Sound Earthquakes at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuse visitor center auditorium in Olympia WA (map). Free and entrance fee waived for attendees, but 100 people max, first come first seated.

Also tonight at 7pm, Michael Bamshad, professor of genetic medicine and pediatrics at UW, gives a public lecture titled Confessions of the genome: solving rare disease mysteries in the Foege auditorium (room S-060), Genome Sciences Building on UW Campus, Seattle WA (map). Free. Reception at 8pm.
