I’m back from Alaska just in time to tell you that today at 7pm Sharon Negri is talking about understanding grizzly bears at the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge in Olympia WA (map). Sharon Negri is the co-director of the Grizzly Bear Outreach Project. The lecture is free but attendance is limited to the first 100 people.

You may have heard that a grizzly was sighted last fall (and the photo verified this summer) in the North Cascades, WA. And this is a grizzly bear that I saw in Denali National Park on Sunday:
